i love bugs !!!!!! i'm not an entomologist or anything but the hyperfixation has been going on too long i think it's just part of me now. i love holding bugs and finding out weird facts about weird stupid bugs and i swear i am getting pet bugs the minute i move out

this one was male, found dead on one of the hanging glue traps my dad insists on putting up. this guy was huge and hawkmoths are some of my favorite moths, so i'm still a little sad about this one :(

Araneus marmoreus - sometime in early 2023

my mom found it already dead on the porch, completely intact... so i took it, lol. not sure if it's male or female, but i'm leaning towards female because of the abdomen shape. either way, it's preserved in a tiny jar on a necklace now and i named it gilbert
